Recruiting & Retention Coordinator

Summary: Designing, implementing and maintaining Demco’s recruiting strategy to engage qualified candidates. This includes but is not limited to: building relationships with high schools, trade schools, colleges and universities; establishing and maintain a media presence and promoting Demco in the community of each of its facilities. Works with Demco management and HR personnel to spearhead retention endeavors. Job duties may also include assisting in day to day HR responsibilities.

Primary Duties:

  • Participating in staffing activities
  • Provides leadership in the design and implementation of Demco’s overall recruiting strategy
  • Collaborates with Demco’s leadership and human resources personnel to analyze and project staffing needs
  • Coordinate recruiting events
  • Represent Demco at networking and/or community events
  • Participates in the interview process, as appropriate
  • Assumes responsibility for all related recordkeeping
  • Builds and maintains a network required to source qualified candidates’
  • Responsible for the coordination of Demco’s retention activates
  • Analyze compensation, benefits, and local wage information to evaluate employee market demands
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Collaborates with Demco’s human resources, management and marketing personnel as appropriate to maintain a media and social media presence to maximize branding efforts
  • Collaborate with Demco’s marketing team on enhancing the companies social media presence for recruiting activities


  • 3-5 years progressive of HR or recruiting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Requires travel to Demco’s Spencer facility
  • Requires travel to local schools, trades schools and universities
