The Demco Recon line is engineered for owners who prioritize bed versatility and easy installation. Unlike traditional heavy-duty hitches that can weigh over 200 lbs, Recon hitches use a lightweight, two-piece geometric design that can be disassembled in minutes, allowing one person to easily clear the truck bed.

Key Features Across the Recon Line

• 21,000 lbs Capacity: Most Recon models are rated for 21K GTW (Gross Trailer Weight), making them suitable for heavy 5th wheels and toy haulers.
• Double-Pivot Head: The head tilts front-to-back and side-to-side, which simplifies hitching on uneven ground and reduces "chucking" (the jerking motion) while driving.
• Wraparound Single-Piece Jaw: A 3/4" solid steel locking bar provides 360-degree contact with the kingpin for a more secure and quieter connection than standard slide-bar jaws.

• Adjustable Height: Most models offer three height settings (typically between 15.5" and 18") to ensure your trailer is level and has proper bed rail clearance.

1. Recon Lightweight / Stationary

This is the standard Recon model designed for trucks with long beds or those who don't need a sliding mechanism. It is available in two main mounting styles:

• ISR Mount: Attaches to industry-standard above-bed rails.
• Gooseball Mount: Specifically designed to drop onto a 2-5/16" gooseneck ball, converting a gooseneck-equipped truck into a 5th wheel tower without adding bulky rails.
