Kar Kaddy is impressive!

I have a lot of experience in the commercial towing field. I think I have towed everything from cars to tractor trailers. You name it I have probably towed it. I thought i would drop you a note about your Kar Kaddy SS. I purchased one in 2013. It is safe to say that it without a doubt, it is the best tow dolly on the market. It tows so quietly and without sway. But this you already know.

About 10 days ago my wife and I decided to drive the Blue Ridge parkway from Virginia to North Carolina. We were driving a 35 foot class A diesel motorhome and towing a car. After about an hour we decided to exit the trip. We were burning fuel like crazy and we didn’t want to chance running out of fuel on a very narrow and desolate road.

We got off at VA 56 byway  37.885955, -79.151889 (GPS) If you copy this into google maps and earth you’ll see the road that goes west to lee hwy.  The map doesn’t do it justice .We began our descent from about 5000 feet. The drive was about 6 miles at 10 MPH the road was barely wide enough for 2 cars and straight down, with a 35 foot motorhome towing a car with traffic the other direction. Boulders at every turn. The turns were almost 45 and 90 degree turns all the way down. The dolly followed right behind the motorhome. The car and dolly didn’t make the turns any tighter than the rear wheels on the motorhome. I think any other dolly would have cut another 1 or 2 feet tighter turn than the Kar Kaddy SS did.

No that’s not all.

Later that day we were south on I 77 just entering North Carolina when the left front tire on the motor home blew out. It took some doing to keep the motorhome from running off the highway. The Kar Kaddy was so stable it never added any rear sway and pull while trying to get the motorhome under control. Anyone that chooses any other dolly other than Demco is making a huge mistake. Great Unit. You get what you pay for.

Thanks
